With 11 puppies Sadie needs help feeding them. Today, we start with 3 puppies at a time and offer a pan of puppy milk replacer. We'll stay with the puppy milk replacer until they are closer to 4 weeks old. At that time we will add some Gerber Rice Cereal and ground up puppy food to the puppy milk. Gradually we will reduce the amount of puppy milk and increase the wet puppy food. By time they are 6 weeks old, they will be eating solid food.
I've just added a video of a birth further down click here.

Puppies were de-wormed for the first time today and had their toe nails trimmed.
Eleven puppies born July 18 th 8 PM - July 19th 5:30 AM
Three females, eight males ! I took these photos after the last birth at 5:30 AM today.
Sadie (and I) are exhausted!
Here are a few photos from this afternoon. Sadie is recovering nicely. I gave her a post whelping bath because whelping is very messy! She certainly feels much better now! She's still wet from her bath in these photos below.
Rose cleans whelping box while Chuck and I bath Sadie.
We keep the whelping box 90 degrees during the first week.
Close up of sleeping babies. Eyes and ear do not open for another 10 + days
A clean Sadie is returned to her puppies, although she's still a bit damp. She sure recovers quickly from the stress of whelping....
Sue assist Sadie with the delivery of a puppy.
Sadie's temperature is taken and charted twice daily. Once we see a 2 degree drop in her temperature, puppies will arrive within 24 hours. Doesn't see look uncomfortable with all those babies in there?

Here I am, (Sue) and Sadie outside Dapper Dog. This was pre-whelping hair-cut day.
Pink and blue bow for girl and boy babies......

Co-Breeder, Rose, helps set up the baby scale and other supplies for whelping.
Sadie checks out the whelping box. It's obvious she knows what it's for. This is Sadie's third litter. She's a terrific momma dog!

Chuck, Phil and Sadie supervise.

Phil gets ready to take Sadie for her evening walk. Regular exercise during the pregnancy helps keep her strong and physically fit.

I ask Chuck to brush Sadie out for me while I looked for the camera.

Here's a great shot of Sadie's ever growing belly !

23 1/2 ".... no need to measure after this. Sadie IS pregnant ! Once we see a gain in inches, we start to feed the momma dog more.

Sue measures Sadie, measuring behind the last rib. We are at 21 1/2 " today.

Sadie was bred to Tanner today. Tanner is a young dog just starting his show career. When I arrived, it was as if he knew Sadie was in my car. He circled all around my car and proceed to pee on it! We had a natural breeding today and another natural breeding on May 17th.
